If our own ship turns when the target is at M, the bearing line from the new Rc to the old M predicts the path the echo trail will follow.
The goal is to picture in your head how turning your ship vector will effect the Relative Motion or echo trail. Using electronic bearing lines takes time and plotting on paper takes even longer.
